Megan Johnson, PhD

Dr. Johnson is our supervising psychologist of all things testing and assessment at Grey Matter Psychological Assessment. Dr. Johnson is a licensed psychologist in the state of California and has years of experience in providing helpful, thorough, and clarifying assessments to her patients. She oversees and supports all psychological testing and supervises the administration of testing material.

Dr. Johnson began her forensic training at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles. It’s the largest mental health facility in the world, even though it’s a county jail. She has provided treatment and evaluation to the sickest inmates in Los Angeles County and then continued expanding those assessment skills in private practice. She is skilled, warm, and talented at helping people answer diagnostic questions.

Quincee Gideon, PsyD

Founder & Supervisor

Dr. Gideon is the owner and founder of Grey Matter Psychological Assessment. She has been trained in forensic and neurological assessment and testing through her work with the Los Angeles County Department of Human Services and her stint at Patton State Hospital. Dr. Gideon supervises all assessment staff and testing services for Grey Matter.

Dr. Gideon began her forensic training at Patton State Hospital working on units dedicated to those convicted of sex crimes, as well as those deemed incompetent to stand trail and awaiting restoration before proceeding in their criminal case. She provided Incompetent to Stand Trial evaluations and Risk Evaluations for those seeking community release from their hospitalization. Dr. Gideon and Dr. Johnson completed their residency training as forensic psychologists-in-training at Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, California. Twin Towers is the largest mental health facility in the world and houses thousands of mentally ill incarcerated individuals on any given day.

Dr. Gideon was one of the lead psychologists in the Forensic Inpatient Unit inside of Twin Towers. This is an LPS hospital inside the jail that housed the mentally ill inmates that required psychiatric hospitalization. Dr. Johnson joined Dr. Gideon on that unit as part of her last year of training to become a psychologist and helped to provide the very best evaluations and care to the patients on the unit.

Testing Psychologist

Pronouns: She/her

Dr. Jun is a prelicensed psychologist with training experiences in psychological assessment in the hospital setting. She began her neuropsychological assessment experience training at Southern California Neurology Consultants in Pasadena, CA, and was trained on psychological assessment for PTSD during her doctoral residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is warm, attentive, and efficient in her assessment delivery style.
