Have you been worried that your memory or neurological functioning is declining?

Who needs neurological or neuropsychological testing?

Neuropsychological testing is for anyone that has questions about how their brains are functioning. This can diagnose you or your loved one’s memory issues, your PTSD symptoms, or the long-term effects of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Here are some common neuropsychological tests:

Memory Care and Dementia

Memory issues can wreck your ability to thrive at your job, remember important and sentimental dates, and live independently. When it comes to such distressing memory loss, it’s important to get a correct diagnosis and appropriate clinical recommendations for managing the memory impairment. If you or your family member is having a hard time remembering well-known tasks, keeping up with daily self-care, or has increased frustration or mood swings, there may be dementia or memory issues. Get a neuropsychological test to confirm a diagnosis and create a treatment plan that can work for your family.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

If you or your family member has experienced a TBI, there may be long-term neurological and cognitive impacts on your functioning. If you’ve survived a TBI that has impacted your brain function, memory, emotional regulation, or ability to manage to overwhelm, assess your current functioning, and severity of neurological damage, and receive customized feedback regarding your neurological needs and treatment plans in the future. You’ll identify problem areas and create a treatment plan for how to better manage your symptoms.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Did you know that a traumatic event can cause you to experience cognitive changes? It is incredibly common and getting a clear diagnosis of what is occurring for you can be the first step toward healing. Our testing psychologists are trauma-informed and will get a clear history of your experiences to help create a treatment plan for your healing.

Neurological Functioning

Sometimes something tricky is going on and the professionals are at a loss. An extensive cognitive/neurological test can help to clarify your diagnosis and help your treatment team create better care.

What kinds of tests do we use to diagnose your neurological issue?

We use customized testing protocols for each patient. That means your test will be created to suit your needs from information gathered from:

  • Background information

  • Clinical interview

  • A series of cognitive and neurological tests

  • Medical records

How much does testing cost?

Testing can cost between $1k-$5k, depending on depth, time spent, and tests used, but you can be assured that the cost of our testing is below the standard rates in our area. You’ll always know the costs before testing begins and you can speak with your psychologist about payment plans if needed. We also provide superbills to submit to your health insurance for reimbursement.

What’s the testing process like?

  • Schedule a free consultation with a psychologist. This will help the psychologist understand your needs and create an appropriate quote for the testing costs.

  • Attend the testing sessions. This can be a few hours in length and might be spread over two separate sessions. We want you to perform your best and will schedule the testing to best support this.

  • Get your feedback session. After all the testing is finished, the numbers are crunched, and the report is written, we will schedule a feedback session to go over the results. This is the fun part! The report includes robust ideas for how to address your specific neurological issue.
